Senior Forestry Manager

Located in the stunning Scottish landscape, the Senior Forestry Manager will be dedicated to managing an existing and growing portfolio of clients within the South of Scotland. Utilising your proven skills and experience in the sector, you will work seamlessly across the wider team, overseeing the day-to-day operations and forestry practices, nurturing relationships, and providing expert, practical advice and support to meet business needs and objectives.

Role Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement forestry management plans aligned with business goals
- To oversee forestry operations on behalf of the client to agreed standards and budget
- To develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing advice and business support
- To secure and manage grant funding for clients, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- To explore and secure new business opportunities
- To work collaboratively with the wider professional team
Skills you will need:
- Proven experience in forestry management
- Experience of UK forestry practices, standards and grant applications
- Excellent communication with the ability to build and maintain business relationships
- Organised, able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
- Strong commercial acumen and management skills
- Highly personable with a supportive approach, dedicated to achieving the best outcomes
- The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively when required
- Passionate and dedicated to the sector
- Excellent IT skills and proficient in the use of GIS mapping systems
- Membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters (or working towards)
- Full UK driving licence
