Senior Forestry Manager

Role Responsibilities:

  • To develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing advice and business support
  • To oversee forestry operations and contractors on behalf of the client
  • To manage GIS mapping, collating and interpreting the data to drive management decisions
  • To manage agreed budgets and forecasting, ensuring operational efficiency
  • To secure and manage consent and planning for clients, ensuring full compliance with industry standards
  • To manage and lead a small team, working collaboratively across the wider team to meet business objectives

Skills you will need:
Essential:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in forestry management
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate to a variety of audiences
  • A relationship builder with the capacity to forge and maintain business relationships
  • A strong knowledge of forestry standard, and Scottish grant applications
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Commercially astute, confident in managing financial data and reports
  • A problem solver who can think laterally to achieve positive business outcomes
  • Adaptable with a highly professional manner
  • Excellent IT skills and proficient in the use of GIS mapping systems
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters
