Forest Nursery Crop Specialist

The Opportunity: A great opportunity to kick start your career as a Nursery Crop Specialist, working for a state-of-the-art, large-scale nursery. You will be responsible for carrying out regular crop walks to monitor pests and disease, and conducting field trials where you will evaluate the pesticides and nutrition products used. You will work closely with the Agronomy Manager and play a key role in the breeding programme at the nursery. You will also be responsible for inputting data using the client's bespoke software to track and analyse crop performance.

Skills Required

Essential

  • Prior experience in a similar role or basic agronomy
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • The willingness and ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Positive attitude, self motivated with strong initiative
  • Experienced at record keeping in relation to crop applications
  • Clean and valid UK driving licence

Desirable

  • PA1 and PA6
