Role Responsibilities:
- To oversee and direct team performance, operational activities and financial outcomes, ensuring regional goals are achieved
- To maintain and develop professional relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors
- To ensure compliance with client's management objectives and companies health and safety policies
- To maximise profit through efficient work management, prompt invoicing, and business development
- To support timber harvesting and marketing initiatives, working with Harvesting Managers to maximise sale opportunities
- To contribute to company-wide processes including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- To actively participate in internal meetings and represent the company at external engagements as required
Skills you will need:
Essential:
- A degree in a relevant land based sector and/or relevant industry experience
- Proven experience in a managerial position, successfully delivering on complex projects
- Membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters and/or another relevant body (or working towards)
- Qualifications in IOSH Managing Safely Course or equivalent with a good understanding of forestry standards
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Exceptionally well organised, able to manage and plan workloads efficiently to meet tight deadlines
- Proactive and driven with the capacity to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to success
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to lead a profit making operation
- Proficient IT skills and in Microsoft Office Suite
UK driving licence
